Our Story:

The story of how our store came to be is as unique as what our store has become. It all started with my Dad's private collection. Before he became a dealer he was a serious hobbyist and collector of sports memorabilia. He has been collecting ever since he was a little boy. In about 1990, my mom and dad took his collection and went on the road around to baseball card shows all over Florida. At that time his collection mostly consisted of autographed baseballs and autographed pictures. My mom and dad had purchased some inexpensive plastic shelves that they could put on top of the tables in order to showcase his collection. This is where my mom's merchandizing skills came in handy. She would arrange all the memorabilia in an attractive way. This got them a lot of attention. People would often come over and ask us where our store was, we did not have one. At this time my mom was managing a specialty retail store and my dad was part-owner of a gallery both located at The Pier in our hometown of St. Petersburg, FL. One day the manager of The Pier asked them if they had a show coming up the following weekend. They did not. He invited them to set up their collection as they had a big event at The Pier that weekend.
